6025 1952-05-22 Burnham Bucks

GWR King class 4-6-0 No 6025 passes Burnham Beeches near Slough on 22nd May 1952. On 1 September 1930 Burnham Beeches station was renamed Burnham Bucks. It kept this name until 5 May 1975 when it was renamed just Burnham. Far more interesting than the King are the wagons in the background (hauled by 3017), there are a pair of 7 plank wagons altered to become a permanently paired Bolster Twin by removal of their end doors and provision of bolsters. The fixed end has also been reduced in height by removal of some end planks, a feature of these conversions new to me.
