Standing in front of a WD 2-10-0 is Holbeck 20A allocated LMS 5MT 4-6-0 No 44753 at the rarely photographed Carlisle Durran Hill shed. The shed had been closed by the LMS in 1935 but re-opened in 1943 as a wartime measure, being a roundhouse there was little opportunity to photograph locos outside on good light.
