5063 1960-07-30 Gerrards Cross

GWR Castle 4-6-0 No 5063 Earl Baldwin passes Gerrards Cross with the 4.35pm Wolverhampton LL-Paddington on 30 July 1960.

Peter Kerslake says "5063 with regulator open as it speeds through a deserted Gerrards Cross allocated to Wolverhampton Stafford Road at this time from where it had been since May 1958, remaining there until the Depot closed in September 1963 whereupon it moved to Oxley, condemned from there in February 1965.
The locomotive was named Thornbury Castle until July 1937."
