LBSCR E1R 0-6-2T No 2124 on the North Devon line with a stopper to Ilfracombe at at Barnstable Junction in the mid 1930s. The coaching set 241 (4-coach set of Maunsell corridor stock) was authorised in 1932. The two Brake Thirds in this set were completed at Eastleigh Works in August/September 1933, however, a 7-compartment First in the set had been built in 1930. Loco 2124 was at Exmouth Junction my mid-1938, I would date the photo a c.1934/35.
