Ex-NER Class J26 No 65748 at West Hartlepool in the 1950s. Apart fromthe loss of brass safety valve cover, this engine is in essentially as-built NER condition, displaying : Chimney wind-jabber (capuchon), high domed boiler, spectacle cab windows and NER tapered buffer shanks.
Built 1904; w/d January 1959 from West Hartlepool shed where it had been a long term resident.
