Peter Kerslake says "With an injector on and steam to spare 70035 Rudyard Kipling heads a mixed but lengthy freight including a nuclear flask wagon and a van as barrier vehicle leading the train. Originally an Eastern Region engine, 70035 moved to Carlisle Kingmoor in December 1963, from where it was condemned four years later".
