Down Yarmouth express passing Ely Station
View SW, towards Cambridge and London; ex-Great Eastern, London - Cambridge - Norwich main line. The train is the 09.09 Liverpool Street - Cambridge - Norwich - Yarmouth (Vauxhall) express, headed by BR Britannia Class 7 Pacific No. 70030 'William Wordsworth', passing Ely South signalbox.
Richard Pike says "The point the train is about to run over is quite unusual. It has no stretcher bars. Each blade was operated independently from Ely Station South box. It also has a facing point lock but the lock stretcher must have been in two parts".
