Peter Kerslake says "Crewe North's 70052 Firth of Tay looks overdue for a clean in this picture. In company with seven other "Britannias" it was transferred to Banbury in September 1965 from Crewe South. Whilst there the eight "Britannias" worked mainly between Marylebone and Nottingham before they were sent to Carlisle Kingmoor in January 1966, destined to be their final posting before they were condemned in the following year."
