Peter Kerslake says "Displaced from its duties on the former Great Eastern main line between North Norfolk and Liverpool Street and now allocated to 40B Immingham, and with that shed's characteristic painted smokebox door fittings, 70040 Clive of India in company with 70039 Sir Christopher Wren and 70041 Sir John Moore had been one of the first three "Britannias" to be moved from Norwich to their new home in December1960 at which they remained until December1963.
From Immingham they were mainly deployed on Cleethorpe and Grimsby express passenger workings to and from Kings Cross as shown in this view, replacing the "B1" locomotives so long the mainstay of those duties, but the footplatemen at Inmmingham soon found favour with their new arrivals, just as those at Norwich and Stratford had done eight years or so earlier".

Neal Antony Saville adds "The Immingham Brits were also deployed to work the daily Grimsby - Whitland fish train that was routed via Lincoln, the LD&EC, the Mansfield Railway and picking up the GC mainline at Kirkby Sth Jct "
