70032 45534 1950s Euston
A fine portrait of a nicely turned out 70032 Tennyson alongside 45534 at Euston ' s arrival platforms, the station clock showing it to be 6.20 p.m. and the date in the ' fifties. Tennyson was allocated newly built in December1952 to Holyhead, that Depot's allocation of the class working the boat trains to and from Euston, including the Irish Mail, but 70032 was only at Holyhead for a month before going to Manchester's Longsight Depot in January1953 and then over to Trafford Park in February1960. After a number of later moves it was at London's Willesden Depot for over three years before finding herself at Carlisle in October1964, being condemned from Carlisle Kingmoor in late 1967
