70030 1954-04-19 Bishops Stortford
On a Cambridge-Liverpool St express. 70030 William Wordsworth had spent its early years from new in November 1952 on the London Midland Region, seeing service from Holyhead, Longsight and Leeds before going to Norwich in July 1953. By December 1960, however, the Norwich Britannias were becoming redundant as the diesels took over and during that month the first three of the class to depart Norwich were to leave for Immingham with the remainder going to March the following year with 70030 leaving Norwich for March in June 1961.
