Peter Kerslake says "For some reason 70047 never got a name, the only Britannia to have missed out, and was allocated initially to Holyhead from new in June 1954 before a transfer to Crewe North in November 1959. Later transfers took it back to Holyhead and moves to Willesden, Carlisle Kingmoor, Aston, Wolverhampton's Oxley and even Banbury were to follow before it was withdrawn from Kingmoor, where so many Britannias ended their days, in July1967."
