70036 1959-10-03 New Hall
Britannia Pacific No 70036 Boudicea near New Hall, Chelmsford with the up 'East Anglian' on October 3, 1959.
Peter Kerslake says "New to Stratford depot in December of 1952 and then moved to Norwich in January 1959 'Boadicea' was one of the unfortunates sent to March in November of 1960 but was spared a long period out of use there and happily sent down to Immingham in company with 70035 and 70037 in October of 1961 where they were warmly received and put to work on Cleethorpes to Kings Cross express rosters and fish and perishables traffic from Grimsby.
Moved to Carlisle Upperby in December of 1963 the 'Britannia' was then put to use on the Settle to Carlisle line working from Carlisle as far as Leeds, Bradford, Manchester, Crewe and even over the border to Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen.
Sadly, 70036 was condemned in November of 1966 from Carlisle Kingmoor in November of 1966."
