70031 1967-03-11 Perth
BR Britannia 4-6-2 No 70031 (formerly Byron) makes a smoky exit from Perth with an up parcels train on March 11, 1967. (Smoke by request that went wrong?) The train is the 3M40 12.35 Perth-Carlisle ECS, the only regular southbound steam worked train from Perth in 1967. (I guess he asked at 63A for an exhaust on a few occasions that year).
