D3 Class 4-4-0 No 2000 (ex-No 4075) specially retained for working the LNER line inspection / Directors’ saloon. Note LNER coat of arms on the tender; the only other LNER locomotive to be so treated was No 4472 ‘Flying Scotsman’ in the 1920s.
Built June 1897; rebuilt September 1944, w/d October 1951.
