On an empty china clay train
One of Saint Blazey's heavy freight locomotives kept at that Depot for use on the china clay workings to and from Par and Fowey docks heads away with a load of " empties " , the nearest one showing its " Return to Saint Blazey " marking .
These heavy freight locomotives could take twenty fully loaded fifteen ton wagons without the need of an assisting locomotive , the docks at Par and at Fowey handling substantial amounts of china clay not only from North Cornwall , but also from the workings at Lee Moor , on Dartmoor's southern edge to the north of Plymouth.
