A well-known vantage point on the Chesham branch sees ex-GCR 4-4-2T C13 No 67416 taking its push/pull train of ex-Metropolitan Railway (‘Ashbury’ stock) coaches towards Chalfont & Latimer in 1956. These coaches dated from 1898 and had been modified several times, including finally, for motorised services. Some remain in use on the Bluebell Railway. Steam workings on the branch were subsequently passed over to Ivatt 2-6-2T No 41284.
