Ivatt Class 2 2-6-0 46519 on the 2.15pm train to Hereford on 28th July 1959 shows the signal box and station building in the angle formed by the junction. The main station building was very similar on both sides, with identical door and window arrangements. The door with the sign above it led to the Refreshment Rooms; this was the same on both platforms. Unlike the running-in board, the signal box name board referred to the junction, namely ‘THREE COCKS – Jc. SIGNAL BOX’.
