46512 1963-04-19 near Towyn

Ivatt 2MT 2-6-0 No 46512 heads an Engineers' saloon on 19th April 1963.
Andrew Dyke has corrected the location from Arthog to south of Towyn. Esguan Hall is seen set amongst the trees to the right. The bridge divided part of the estate while the track from the hall led to the farm. The District Inspector from Oswestry would have had no jurisdiction on the former GWR Dolgellau to Ruabon line.
Peter Kerslake says "The Western Region District Engineer from Oswestry has an exceptionally well turned out engine with a special Cambrian headboard used on these occasions."
