A panorama of the shed yard and adjacent running lines at Darnall with stored D11 No 62664 ‘Princess Mary’ in the foreground, on 19th April 1960. Darnall’s D11s were routinely brought out of store in the summer months during the 1950s - a trend which continued in 1960 for some of them but by the end of the year they had all been withdrawn. The new electric shed is in the distance, used mainly for DMU maintenance.
