GCR D11 4-4-0 No 62679 Lord Glenallan in c1951. We think this is about 1 mile east from the Balgonie colliery, at Tullybreck farm on the line from Thornton junction to Leven. It matches OS maps although you can’t see the river in the depression to the right, and the pattern of the insulators on the telegraph post, from what can be made out, match’s those in a colliery photo.

What is interesting is the ex GCR vestibule open third coach behind the loco. What it’s doing in Fife I’ve no idea. As far as I’m aware, none were allocated to the Scottish Region.
