4136 1961-08 Severn Tunnel Junction

Piloting Hall on an Up freight, Working Target 33
Peter Kerslake adds" A nice shot of 4136 acting as pilot to an unidentified " Hall " probably heading down from Severn Tunnel Junction to the Welsh portal of the Severn Tunnel itself ,the two locomotives heading a substantial freight of formidable length , the majority of which are clearly a massive rake of coal from the Welsh coalfields.
4136 will assist in piloting this working through the tunnel itself and may well drop back to bank the train from the rear after clearing the tunnel to the end of its climb up to Patchway before running back down again as light engine home to Wales "
