4145 , one of Newton Abbot's allocation of these versatile large tank engines would have seen service on freight and banking duties as well as working local " All Stations " local passenger services as seen here .
This image has 4145 running on the " Down " Plymouth line , and if she's heading for Torquay and Kingswear she will be routed over to the line on her left by the signal man at Aller Junction box a short distance ahead .
The two tracks in the foreground are the " Up " Plymouth and Kingswear lines , the former and nearest having run down from Dainton bank with its one in thirty six maximum gradient.
