Churston , on the Newton Abbot to Kingswear line , was the end of the branch that ran up to here from the busy fishing port of Brixham , and the little " 1400 " with its coach in the bay is working the Brixham branch this day, but the coal laden wagon looks rather out of place!
The line down to Brixham is on the left , the points are set for 4176 to continue from Kingswear up the main line to Newton Abbot, the passing loop here being bi-directional. I always find it a confusing station as the Brixham branch seems to face the wrong direction!
The Morris G.P.O van revives memories, as does the little Austin A 30 on the station yard.
