LMS diesel-electric No 10001 climbs Camden bank out of Euston with a Blackpool express in 1951.
Peter Kerslake says "A fine panoramic view of 10001 when the twin diesels had returned to main line passenger duties on the West Coast main line following train heating problems which had seen them relegated to freight duties during the winter of 1949 /1950, not an uncommon problem with the new forms of motive power at this time."
