SR 1Co-Co1 No 10201 passes Kenton with the down 'Mancunian' on July 5, 1955.
Peter Kerslake says "Following its return to the Southern Region from an early period running trials for the Derby Technical Centre the pioneer 1750 h.p. diesel 10201 it was mainly deployed on a twice daily "out and back" working between Waterloo and Exeter Central. It was transferred to the London Midland Region in April 1955 and allocated to Camden."
