SR diesel-electric 1Co-Co1 No 10203 has just passed Bromley South with the Paris/Brussels to London Victoria 'Night Ferry' on March 3, 1955.

Note the standard Southern Region rectangular aluminium headboard used on the diesels opposed to the circular enamelled board used on steam locos for this train. There is a photo of one of these aluminium boards displayed on a cl. 71 electric loco very soon after they took over this train in 1959 although soon superceded by more well known glass fibre boards.
