Ex-Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway Aspinall '5' class 2-4-2 Tank No. 10862. Built at Horwich in Dec. 1900 as L&YR No. 716 and withdrawn in September 1938. Allocated to LMS shed 26 (Normanton), 10862 was a relatively early withdrawal of a very successful class that lasted until the early 1960s. Seen at Wakefield Kirkgate with a westbound 'local', a bowler-hatted gentleman appears to be inspecting station operations.
