Pictured an age when order and pride in appearance was the norm at Britain's many lesser railway stations, this 1950s panorama of the ex-North British Railway station (and its superb signal box) at Innerleithen in Peebles-shire, perfectly epitomises my point.It was opened by the Peebles Railway in Oct. 1864 and closed in Feb. 1962.
