GWR Station Bovey Tracey with 4 motor buses in station yard, general view of station yard, buildings etc. in around 1920. Peter Kerslake says "A splendid view at Bovey Tracey on the branch line between Newton Abbot and Moretonhampstead which opened in July of 1866 and closed on the 28th. February 1959, the line serving Teigngrace, Heathfield, Bovey Tracey and Lustleigh before its terminus at Moretonhampstead. The coaches or "charabangs" as they were often called are clearly on a day's outing with the ones on the left showing destination of "Princetown" and "Haytor Rocks" (on Dartmoor) whilst the right hand one shows "Bovey" (short for here at Bovey Tracey) and "Becky Falls and Manaton". Heavy raincoats were clearly the order of the day with little or no protection from Dartmoor's weather whilst on the move. It, as is likely, these were G.W.R. vehicles they could be Daimler, Maudsley or Thorneycroft versions as those were use to extend services to Chagford further into Dartnmoor where the line could not reach."
