Two veteran ex-L&NWR Tank locomotives are already withdrawn and awaiting disposal in the yard at Shrewsbury (LNW) MPD. Both are Francis Webb designs, 46616 is a '5ft.6in.' 2-4-2T and the other is unidentified but is a 'Coal Tank'. 0-6-2T. The MPD at Shrewsbury was built in two adjoining parts divided into L&NWR and GWR sections. Photo dated September 1955.
