Former London & North Western Railway ‘Coal Tank’ No.58900 in 1953. Based at nearby Monument Lane shed, it had been a New Street pilot for the previous two years, but was transferred to Swansea Paxton Street in March 1954 and replaced by No.58903 from Bangor, which was the last of its class to work as a New Street pilot engine.
