LNWR 2F 0-6-2T No 58926 and G2 0-8-0 No. 49121 with SLS Special (Last Train from Abergavenny to Merthyr) on 5 January 1958. The Abergavenny to Merthyr return special, on its outward journey only, diverged left at Ebbw Vale Junction to visit the terminus at the then-called Ebbw Vale High Level. This picture shows the train reversing from Ebbw Vale back to Ebbw Vale Junction whence it will resume its journey westwards.
