61042 1966-03-22 Hull Paragon
It may only be five coaches but 61042 makes a lot of smoke on departure.
Peter Kerslake says "Hull Paragon, with its fine glazed roof was, and still is, a splendid station. Its furthermost platform, known as "The Jewish Platform" out of shot on the far right was where countless refuges escaping across the North Sea to Hull by boat from their homes in occupied east Europe departed by rail to Liverpool to seek new lives in America. The platform is still in situ."
