At Scarborough Station on Saturday, 15th June 1963, ex-LNER Thompson 'B1' class 4-6-0 No. 61062, built by NBL of Glasgow in August 1946 as LNER No. 1062, was alongside BR 'Class 40' Co-Co diesel No. D387, built by English Electric Vulcan Foundry in April 1962. No. 61062 was withdrawn in August 1964 and D387 in August 1982 as TOPS No. 40187.
