The Calder Valley in West Yorkshire provides many railway crossings of the river as it meanders its way eastward to join with the River Aire at Castleford. This view is at Steanard Lane in Mirfield and sees eastbound ex-LNER Thompson 'B1' 61022 'Sassaby' with a somewhat unremunerative single coach parcels train. Saturday 7th August 1965.
