I don't think that this could be June 1965 as the info that came with the negative as the wires were up by then. Also 'British Thompson Houston' in the background had become AEI by then. I suggest that this is more likely to be 1955.
Further research reveals it was withdrawn in 1962 and until 1958 was allocated to Peterborough so 1955 fits well.
Furthermore Keith Janes reports that this loco regularly worked on a daily weekday freight train that ran from Nuneaton to Peterborough and March via Market Harborough during late 50's early 60's. Arrived in Market Harborough around midday. He never saw 61047 working in the opposite direction so suspect it must have run either via Leicester or Wellingborough/Northampton as he wasn't aware of any overnight freight workings between Peterborough and Rugby. Coincidentally he had grandparents living close to the railway at Wymondham, just west of Norwich, and 61047 used to pass there regularly in late pm heading towards Norwich and therefore wondered if it used to work that freight train all the way.
