61092 1960s West Hallam

It is interesting to note that by this 1960s view BR built steel 16T minerals have ousted the wooden coal wagons in the colliery yard. B1 No.61092 was always an East Midlands engine except for a brief allocation to Hitchin in 1946-8. She spent most of her years allocated to Colwick although Leicester GC shed had her for four years from 1950. Of course she would be no stranger to Leicester visiting the Great Northern Belgrave Road station to haul holidaymakers to Skegness whist allocated to Colwick. When that shed was run down to closure she was nominally allocated to LMR Region Book Stock, only to be condemned a month later on 19th February 1966.
