The late Paul Claxton could always be relied on to produce a crisp, perfectly exposed and developed photograph. He has captured Ex-LNER Thompson 'B1' 4-6-0 No. 61010 'Wildebeeste' on one of its many forays far from the big game hunters! It is at the North end of York Station in October 1963 with a small audience of 'spotters' looking on, 61010 was built at Darlington in Nov. 1946 as LNER No. 1010 and was withdrawn in Nov. 1965.
