6026 1962-09-04 Ranelagh Bridge
Backing out of Paddington into Ranelagh Bridge yard. 6026 King John on 4th September 1962 had only days left before withdrawal. The V04 Up reporting numbers are still in situ.
Engines working into Paddington on the Wolverhampton services did not need to go out to Old Oak Common upon arrival, but were turned, watered and prepared for the return run at Ranelagh Yard, adjacent to the Down lines just outside the station itself.
