What a splendid array of signals with a nicely turned out 5059 , " Earl St. Aldwyn " here at Chester , now a Shrewsbury engine although she had formerly been a Westcountry engine for some while allocated to Newton Abbot during the ' fifties, working to and from the far West to Paddington and Bristol during those earlier years. Shrewsbury shed , in common with Worcester, Cardiff Canton and Landore all had reputations for maintaining their respective " Castles " in fine style , as did Newton Abbot as well !
