An unidentified Andrew Barclay . A relatively modern engine she has acquired a new and less shapely chimney than the one originally fitted.
Consulting the IRS handbook N helps, it could be No12 AB 1829 of 1924 but this looked too modern for this date to me until I found a picture of AB 1833/1924 and this was the same design. The only other candidate is AB 2358/1954 but this is recorded as not arriving until 1972.
The painted number on the front bufferbeam is completely obscured by dirt.
In conclusion I think it must be No12 AB 1829 of 1924 but ask for confirmation please?
