Peter Kerslake says "B12/3 61514 in its final condition here on Cromer Beach turntable. The engine was one of six allocated to Norwich and was an early member of the former Great Eastern's initial series of 71 class S69s and rebuilt between 1940 and 1944. In 1956 there were 42 of the class still in service allocated to six Eastern Region depots, the last of the Scottish twenty five having been condemned in 1954. 61572 was the last survivor from 1959 until it was finally condemned from Ipswich two years later in 1961."
