Ex-Great Eastern Railway S.D. Holden 'S69' (LNER 'B12') class 4-6-0 No. 61528. Built at Stratford in August 1914 as GER No. 1528 and withdrawn in July 1953.
The continuing use of LNER apple green livery on the Great North of Scotland section's 'B12s' was great attraction to visiting photographers. That most prolific of British railway photographers, Henry Casserley was no exception and here's his fine study of 61528 at Kittybrewster in April 1952.
