B12/3 4-6-0 No 1577 waits to depart from Liverpool Street in 1947.

Peter Kerslake adds "A classic Liverpool Street image, recorded from the ramp used by taxis and a fine viewpoint for any cameraman. 1577 was one of the ten B12/2s ordered by the LNER for the former Great Eastern section in 1928 and built by Beyer Peacock."
