The BR 'Class 27' Bo-Bo diesels were 69 in number and all were built in 1961-2 by Birmingham Railway, Carriage & Wagon Company. Eight have survived in preservation including the class leader D5347 (TOPS 27001). This example is D5367 pictured at Eastfield MPD in Glasgow in the 1970s.
