BR 'Class 1-3' 0-4-0 Diesel Shunter No. D2957. Built by Ruston & Hornsby of Lincoln in March 1956 as BR No. 11507 and withdrawn in March 1967.

A production run for BR of just TWO! of these Ruston 165 bhp shunters was typical of the incomprehensible decisions regarding diesel power in the 1950s. A life of only 11 years was hardly surprising. Many steam 0-4-0 'Pugs' had lives exceeding 60 years - 'nuff said!
D2957 is seen at Stratford MPD in October 1963.
