Grimesthorpe MPD on the eastern approaches to Sheffield, was in the very heart of the steel-making part of the city. Its very name reflects the appearance and atmosphere of that area. Steam is being replaced by diesels at this ex-Midland Railway MPD and this November 1961 view shows six fairly new 'Class 20' Bo-Bo's with D8067 centre stage.
