D444 1968-10-19 Bedford MPD

On the headshunt of the shed adjacent to Bedford goods yard, on Saturday, 19th October 1968, BR 'Class 50' Co-Co diesel No. D444, built by English Electric Vulcan Foundry in October 1968, brand new shortly after delivery.
It was probably exhibited at the Midland Railway London Extension Centenary on 18 October 1968 at Bedford. Exhibition train, D444 and Metropolitan 0-4-4T, L44 were stabled at Bedford St Johns Goods Yard for four days

It was withdrawn in January 1991 as TOPS No. 50044.
