MR 666 1910s Kentish Town MPD
The supremely elegant lines of Midland Railway Johnson 179 or 'Spinner' 4-2-2 No. 666 are captured at the unmistakeable location of Kentish Town MPD in the 1910s. Only the later, unflattering Deeley smokebox door and chimney have slightly spoiled its majestic appearance. 666 was built at Derby in May 1896 as MR No.76, re-numbered to 666 in 1907 and was withdrawn in Apr. 1925.
